What happens when a plant meets its period of expiration? Inspired by meLê yamomo’s essay, "Acoustic Epistemologies and Early Sound Recordings in the Nusantara Region" (where he learnt of in 2021) in the book 'Made in Nusantara', which brings local perspectives to the history and analysis of popular music in the Nusantara region including Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore and the Philippines.
Alongside the film composite, Fyerool has customised portable seating along with recordings composed and produced by the artist himself, in collaboration with Aleezon, berukera, Sharmini Aphrodite, Darius Ou, Anu and gr834$tern|4if. He combines archival research and speculative narratives around the historical figure Erik Flower, formerly known as Muhammad bin Haji Abdulraman, who was born in Johor Bahru and immigrated to Berlin in 1917.
